Direct Primary Care for Employers | Waypoint Wellness DPC | Henrico, VA
Central Virginia Accepting New Patients

Give your team a provider they can actually reach.

Direct primary care as an employee benefit, for small businesses in Central Virginia. You pay one flat monthly fee per person. Your team gets unhurried visits, same or next day appointments, and a provider they can call or text. No copays.

What This Actually Is

You pay a flat fee per employee. They get a doctor's office that answers.

That monthly fee covers their primary care here at Waypoint Wellness. Office visits, direct access to Brandi by phone, text, and email, and their baseline lab work. No copays, no claims to file, and no paperwork on your end.

Most businesses pair this with a high deductible health plan that handles hospitals, surgery, and specialists, and use Waypoint for everything else. Some offer it on its own, for a team that has no benefit at all right now.

To be clear, this is not health insurance and it does not replace it. A membership covers the care provided directly at Waypoint Wellness. Hospital care, surgery, specialists, and imaging are billed separately by those providers.

Who This Is Built For

If any of these sound like your business, keep reading.

You have drivers

Trucking, delivery, hauling. Your people need DOT physicals and cannot lose half a day sitting in a waiting room. We handle those here, membership or not.

One sick employee means covering a shift

Restaurants, salons, shops, and clinics. When someone can get care the same week instead of in three weeks, the problem stays small and so does the schedule hole.

Your crew has no benefit right now

Construction, trades, landscaping, cleaning. A full insurance plan may be out of reach, but a flat monthly fee per person is something you can budget.

Your plan has a deductible nobody can hit

So your team technically has coverage and still avoids the doctor. This fills the gap where people actually need care, which is everyday primary care.

You are trying to keep good people

Five to fifty employees, competing with bigger companies on benefits. This one is easy to explain and people notice it immediately.

You want predictable cost

One flat fee per person, per month. No claims, no year-end surprises, and nothing that reprices on you halfway through.

Why Owners Do It

What it does for the business, not just the person.

A number you can budget

One line item per person, per month. It does not reprice mid year and there are no claims to reconcile.

Less time away from work

Most things get sorted by phone or text. When someone does need to come in, it is this week, not next month.

Cheaper problems, caught sooner

Lab work at the first visit surfaces blood pressure and blood sugar issues while they are still a conversation instead of an emergency.

Something to put in a job posting

Health benefit included is a line bigger competitors have and you may not. Now you do, without underwriting or a plan year.

Nothing for you to administer

No claims, no enrollment portal, no HR paperwork. Your people deal with the practice directly and you get one bill.

Your drivers stay road legal

DOT physicals handled here, member or not, so a certification does not lapse and take a truck off the schedule. See what to bring.

Pricing

One flat monthly fee, per person.

Based on age. No enrollment fees and no copays on the care included in each membership.

Ages 21–34
$100/mo

per person

Ages 35–49
$125/mo

per person

Ages 50–64
$150/mo

per person

You can cover the full fee, split it with your team, or simply make it available to them. Covering it fully is what gets people to actually enroll and use it.

New for 2026: these memberships are HSA eligible.

Federal rules now treat direct primary care fees as a qualified medical expense, up to $150 a month for an individual and $300 for a family. Every tier above falls inside that limit, which makes pairing this with a high deductible plan more attractive than it has ever been.

Questions Owners Ask

The short answers.

Does this replace our health insurance?

No. It is not insurance. It covers everyday primary care here. Most teams keep a plan, often a high deductible one, for hospital care, surgery, and specialists.

How small is too small?

Not small at all. This works for a team of three as easily as a team of thirty.

Do we have to cover everyone?

No. Some businesses start with full time staff, or with the people who have no coverage at all, and add from there.

What about our drivers?

DOT physicals are handled here and no membership is required for them, so you can send drivers over whether or not you enroll your team.

How fast can we start?

Quickly. There is no plan year to wait for and no open enrollment window. Call us and we will scope it out.

What if someone leaves?

You stop paying for that person. There is no annual contract locking you into a headcount you no longer have.
