Everything you might want to know about membership, pricing, and how the practice works.
Think of it as going back to the way a good family doctor used to work. You pay one flat monthly fee, a little like a gym membership, and in return you get your own provider directly, whenever you need her. There's no insurance company sitting in the middle deciding how long your visit can be or what it should cost. For you, that means more time, straight answers, and a lot less hassle.
Yes, and this one's a big deal. At your very first visit we draw your baseline labs, and they're already covered by your membership. That means we start out actually knowing what's going on with your body instead of guessing. If you ever need extra testing later, you get our deeply discounted wholesale pricing, and we always tell you the cost first. No mystery bills showing up in the mail.
Not for your visits here, and that's on purpose. Taking insurance out of the exam room is exactly what lets us give you longer appointments, simple pricing, and a real relationship instead of a rushed few minutes. You'll still use your insurance for the bigger things outside our office, like specialists, imaging, hospital stays, and your prescriptions.
No, and it's an important difference to understand. Your membership covers the everyday primary care you get right here with us. It isn't insurance, and it isn't meant to replace it. We'll always recommend you keep a health plan for the big stuff, like specialists, imaging, hospital care, and emergencies. The simplest way to picture it: we're your everyday care, and insurance is your safety net for the rare, expensive events.
They're cousins, not twins. Both give you more time and better access to your provider. The difference is that concierge practices usually charge a much higher fee and then still bill your insurance on top of it. We keep things simpler and more affordable by leaving insurance out of your primary care completely, so what you're quoted is what you pay.
For a lot of people, yes. When you add up a full year of copays, deductibles, and those surprise bills that appear out of nowhere, a flat monthly membership often comes out lower, especially if you're between plans or on a high-deductible one. And you get something no insurance card can buy: real time with a provider who knows your name and your history.
Yes, and we'll always be straight with you about that. This isn't a replacement for insurance. You'll still want coverage for hospital stays, emergencies, specialists, imaging, and surgeries. A lot of our members pair their Waypoint Wellness membership with a high-deductible plan, using us for their everyday care and their insurance for the occasional big event. It's a smart combination that often saves money.
It's based on your age, and it's all right out in the open. Ages 21 to 34 are $100 a month, ages 35 to 49 are $125 a month, and ages 50 to 64 are $150 a month. That's the whole price. No sign-up fees, no copays, and no surprise bills for the care included in your membership. You'll know exactly what you're paying before you ever walk in the door.
Yes. As of January 1, 2026, new federal rules officially recognize Direct Primary Care membership fees as a qualified medical expense. In plain terms, that means you can pay for your membership straight from your Health Savings Account (HSA), using the pre-tax dollars you've already set aside for healthcare.
Yes, and we'd rather tell you plainly than surprise you later. Membership runs on a 12-month agreement, and if you need to end it, we ask for 90 days' notice. Everything else is straightforward: you're billed monthly, and the price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Yes, and this is really the heart of it. As a member, you can reach the practice directly when a question or concern pops up, during business hours and following our practice policies. No phone trees, no leaving a message with someone who's never met you. Just a direct line to the person who knows your health.
Whenever we possibly can, yes. When something urgent comes up, we do our best to get you in the same day or the next. Openings depend on how the day is booked, but the whole point of this model is being here when you actually need us, not weeks down the road.
